Each prospective HCMS family must take the following steps to complete the application process:
Prospective parents are required to begin the admissions process with a private tour of the school. Private tours of the school can be scheduled directly with: Danbury Campus: Megin Meyer, Director of the school, Pamela Sauls Elementary Coordinator or an Upper Level Teacher, by calling (203) 744-8088. Click here to register for a tour. Interested families must submit an application for their child along with a $75 non-refundable application fee. Families with children applying to elementary will need a Release of Information form and a teacher recommendation form. Parents need to give these forms to their child's current school. The applicant's current school will send the recommendations, transcript and any standardized testing directly to Hudson Country Montessori School. Applicants to Grade 2-8: Prospective students visit in one of our 6-9 or 9-12 classrooms for 2 full days (9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.). Prospective parents are interviewed by the Director of Admissions or the Head of School. During their visit, children will have a brief assessment with a faculty/staff member. Decisions for admission are made on a rolling basis throughout the academic year as spaces are available. Parents will receive a response approximately two weeks after all required application materials have been submitted. Information on the waiting list will be sent if needed. |
