Is your child an art, science and sports enthusiast? Is your child curious, observant, creative and loves to be part of a team? Well, do we have the program for you...CHESS! The beginner, intermediate or advanced chess player can learn to develop and sharpen existing skills. Chess enhances memory, concentration, orientation and the ability to conceptualize. Children will have a great time learning to play chess as they increase achievement in math, reading and science. Lastly, chess will increase self-control, boost their self esteem and encourage non-physical competition.
Instructor - National Scholastic Chess Foundation
Fee - $136.00 for 8 sessions*
Time - 3:30-4:30 pm
Minumum - 10 children, maximum 20 children
Location - Late Session Room, 340 Quaker Ridge Road
Dates - January 13, 20, 27, February 3, 10, 17, March 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, April 20, 27, May 4, 11, 18.
*Year round students deduct 20% Please be prompt when picking up children at the end of the activity! Enter and exit through the office
Please note: Year round students are children who attend Hudson from 7:30am to 6pm 12 months per year
