Elementary Admissions Process
1.) Schedule a Visit
Please set-up a date to visit the school by scheduling a visit or calling:
Megin Meyer: Danbury Campus (203) 744-8088
2.) The Parent/Child Visit
After a tour of the Montessori Elementary classrooms and the school, you and your child will meet privately with our Elementary Admissions Coordinator for 30 minutes to an hour. (If your first visit is an Open House we will schedule a follow-up visit.) We will ask you a number of questions to get to know your child and find out how you are hoping your child will benefit from his/her time with us. We will also describe the school’s progressive educational philosophy and how it prepares your child for academic achievement and personal success. We also look forward to answering any questions you might have about how our philosophy can be extended to support your child’s development and education at home. We welcome any questions you have about the Montessori method and how it works at school and at home.
3.) Student Visit to Classroom
To ensure the Montessori learning environment is the right choice for your child, we invite him/her to join one of our classes for two days. During our time together, the teacher will assess your child’s academic achievement and social/emotional skills through a brief formal assessment and through observation. At the end of that time, your family and the school will typically know if our learning environment is a place where your child can excel. Before your child comes for a visit, please submit the Student Visit Form.
4.) Application
Submit the online Application Form. The office will normally call you by the next workday to complete the application process and guide you through the next steps. Space is limited. Decisions for admissions are made on a rolling basis as spaces become available.
4.) Health Assessment Record
State of CT Health Regulations requires all children to have a Health Assessment Record completed by a pediatrician prior to enrollment. The form may be printed here for your convenience:

At the end of the enrollment process, with your help, we will gently transition your child into our Elementary community.
