By Marina, 3rd grade student, Lower Elementary
The Kindergarteners visited the Lower Elementary classrooms the past two weeks to experience elementary lessons. I love when I get Kindergarteners because it feels so different when you get to teach.
I really liked when I got Ava and Hanna. They truly listened to the lessons I gave them. We did lessons on rocks and minerals, cat nomenclature, and the world map. We also read Rookie Reader books. When it was time to go back to their classrooms, they said, “I want to be in this class when I’m in first grade.”
When third graders visited Upper El, we each got a fourth grader to teach us lessons. Logan Foster was my fourth grader. She taught me lessons in Math, Science, and Geography, and we got through everything she wanted to do with me.
My favorite lesson was the Atom Building Game. We used yellow, green, and blue marbles to make an atom. Everybody tried to get to it first. It was really fun!
