Your Path to Hudson

Choosing the right school is a meaningful decision - one that deserves clarity, perspective, and care.

At Hudson Country Montessori School, our admissions process is designed to help you understand not just what we do, but how your child will experience it. Each step is intentional, personal, and focused on ensuring your child enters with confidence and a strong sense of belonging.

At Hudson, children develop independence, confidence, and a deep engagement with their learning in a nurturing, thoughtfully prepared environment. Our approach supports each child’s individual strengths while guiding them to grow into capable, curious, and socially aware individuals.

The best way to understand the depth of a Hudson Country Montessori education is to visit us firsthand. We recommend visiting campus early, as tour availability and space within each program is limited. If you have already visited and feel Hudson is the right next step, we invite you to continue the process and begin your application.

Step 1: Visit & Connect

Schedule Your Visit

Your journey begins with a visit to campus. During your time at Hudson, you’ll experience the environment, meet our teachers, and gain a clear understanding of how the Montessori approach comes to life across our classrooms - from the earliest years through middle school - and how it supports both academic growth and independence over time.

This is your opportunity to ask questions, explore the setting, and begin to picture your child here.

We’ll also take time to learn more about your child - your goals, their strengths, and what you are looking for in a school - so we can guide you thoughtfully through the next steps.  As you move forward, you will be invited to submit an application. For a clear overview of tuition and program options, you may find it helpful to review our Tuition page or Program Pages as you continue exploring.

Step 2: Application & Classroom Experience

Begin Your Application

One you have submitted your application, our admissions team will guide you through the next steps, including opportunities for your child to spend time in the classroom when appropriate. This allows your child to become comfortable in the environment while giving our teachers the opportunity to observe naturally and ensure a thoughtful, well-supported transition.

For Elementary and Middle School students, this may include time spent engaging more directly with teachers and the classroom environment, allowing us to thoughtfully get to know your child in the setting where they will learn each day.

This process is designed to ensure Hudson is the right environment for your child - so they can thrive both academically and socially.

For our youngest programs, this step takes place through parent conversations and guided introductions.

STEP 3: GUIDED NEXT STEPS

Following your application and classroom experience, our admissions team will continue to guide you through any remaining steps and provide clear, timely communication along the way.

We encourage you to move forward and submit your application once you have had the opportunity to visit, as space in our programs is limited.

Step 4: Preparing for Your Child’s Start

Before your child begins, we’ll ensure everything is in place to support a smooth and confident transition into the classroom.

Our goal is simple: that your child walks in feeling comfortable, capable, and ready to begin.

BEGIN YOUR PATH

Families who thrive at Hudson are typically seeking a more intentional, long-term educational path - one that prioritizes independence, depth of learning, and a strong sense of responsibility, and prepares students to move confidently into their next stage.

Your experience at Hudson begins with a conversation. Whether you are just starting to explore or ready to move forward, our team is here to guide you through each step.
