ABOUT OUR PROGRAM

Hudson Country Montessori School in New Rochelle has been offering a fun and safe summer camp for over 50 years, serving families throughout Westchester County and surrounding communities. Our unique Montessori summer program is thoughtfully designed to balance learning and fun in an engaging, supportive environment. It is spirited and skill oriented, yet non competitive and social. Our spacious indoor and outdoor facilities provide the perfect setting for physical, emotional, and intellectual growth in a secure and nurturing environment.

The quality and success of our Westchester summer camp are defined by our experienced team of professional counselors and our low counselor to camper ratio. Our New Rochelle summer camp is designed to spark curiosity, build independence, and support each camper’s growth—socially, emotionally, and academically.

Kids love Hudson Country Montessori Summer Camp because they can:

Summer Camp Programs by Age Group

 

TODDLER PROGRAM / CAMP (AGES 18-32 MONTHS)

Our toddler summer program follows the same schedule as the school year Montessori program. Our young campers have the opportunity to experience water play and additional time outdoors while maintaining their daily routines, which are important to their development. We have limited availability for toddler program so please inquire ASAP. AVAILABLE HALF/FULL DAY (2-5 days/week)

TODDLER CAMPER ENROLLMENT   

 

PRE-SCHOOL/ KINDERGARTEN CAMP (AGES 2 years 9 months - 5 years)

Our pre-school campers enjoy working on Montessori lessons,  have swimming lessons and on-site pool time, sports, hands-on science, music and movement, arts and crafts and more.

PRIMARY CAMPER ENROLLMENT   

 JUNIOR CAMP (AGES 6-8)

Our junior campers enjoy pool time, sports, and performing arts weekly. They work with experienced staff on innovative projects, hands-on experiments and guided discovery of the natural and technological world. AVAILABLE FIVE (5) FULL DAYS

JUNIOR CAMPER ENROLLMENT   

 

SENIOR CAMPERS (AGES 9-12)

Our senior campers work with experienced staff on innovative projects, hands-on experiments and group and individual projects related to the components of the natural and technological world. They participate in fun, educational and recreational activities throughout the summer. AVAILABLE FIVE (5) FULL DAYS

SENIOR CAMPER ENROLLMENT   

 

counselors IN TRAINING (AGES 13-15)

Our counselor in training program (CIT) is designed to challenge teens to grow as leaders within their camp community. CITs participate in activities that build their unique leadership skills (team building, positive role modeling, and problem solving). CITs will be coached through different skills while having the opportunity to earn valuable volunteer hours. Candidates apply and participate in an interview process.

EARLY-SESSION AND AFTER CAMP EXTENDED CARE

We offer early session and after camp supervised care to all our campers as an option to extend their typical day.

When should we enroll?

Because space is limited by age group, families are encouraged to enroll as early as possible. Enrollment is offered on a rolling basis as space allows.

DO YOU OFFER TOURS FOR YOUR SUMMER CAMP?

Is this a Montessori program?

Yes. Our summer camp follows Montessori principles and is led by experienced educators, while offering a relaxed, joyful summer atmosphere.

What activities will my child participate in?

Campers enjoy a wide variety of age-appropriate activities designed to support confidence, creativity, and independence. Activities include creative arts and crafts, music and movement, outdoor play and sports, gardening, cooking projects, science and STEAM exploration, group games, collaborative projects, special theme days, and on-site or off-site experiences when appropriate. Activities vary by age group and week.

Who are the camp counselors and staff?

Our summer camp is led by experienced educators and trained staff who are familiar with Hudson Country Montessori’s philosophy and values. Counselors guide activities, support campers throughout the day, and create a safe, nurturing environment that encourages confidence, independence, and positive social interactions.

What if a program is full?

Waitlists are available, and our admissions team will contact you if space opens.

Is a deposit required to enroll?

Yes. A $220 deposit is required to secure your child’s place in the program. Enrollment is confirmed based on availability once the deposit is received.

Deposits may be submitted by Zelle or by check.

When is full payment due?

Full tuition payment is due by June 5th. Additional details are shared during the enrollment process.

What are the NEW ROCHELLE camp hours?

Camp runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Early morning camp is available from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., and extended afternoon camp is available from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

WhAT ARE THE 2026 CAMP DATES? 

Camp runs from Monday June 29th through Friday August 21st 2026.

Can my child attend only a few weeks?

Yes. Families may enroll for individual weeks, subject to availability, with a two-week minimum. Most families enroll for the full summer program.
