Helping New Rochelle Children Thrive from Toddler Through 8th Grade

You want your child to grow up curious, confident, and kind—not just good at taking tests.

But choosing the right school in Westchester County can feel overwhelming. There are so many options, and it’s hard to know which one will actually see your child as an individual and help them thrive long term.

At Hudson Country Montessori School’s New Rochelle campus, we partner with families like yours to give children a joyful, rigorous, and deeply human education from 18 months through 8th grade.

The Problem: You Don’t Want Your Child Lost in the Shuffle

Many parents tell us they worry that in a typical school:

  • Their child will be bored or rushed, depending on the day

  • Teachers won’t really know their strengths or struggles

  • The environment may feel stressful or one-size-fits-all

  • Their child’s natural love of learning might fade

You’re looking for a school that:

  • Treats your child as a whole person, not a score

  • Builds character and emotional skills alongside academics

  • Feels like a safe, warm community, not just a building

If that’s you, you’re exactly the kind of family we serve.

  • See the materials and spaces your child would use each day

  • Meet with a member of our leadership or admissions team

What Makes Our New Rochelle Campus Different

Multi-Age Montessori Classrooms

In every classroom, children learn in multi-age groups. Younger children look up to older peers, and older students grow as role models and leaders. This structure is at the heart of how children:

  • Build confidence

  • Practice leadership

  • Learn to collaborate and care for others

Hands-On, Deep Learning

Instead of being lectured at all day, students work with beautiful, concrete materials that make abstract ideas real. Over time, they build:

  • Strong math and language foundations

  • Real critical thinking and problem-solving

  • Confidence in speaking, presenting, and sharing ideas

Support for a Wide Range of Learners

Because we individualize learning, we’re a great fit for:

  • Advanced and gifted learners

  • Creative and curious children who need room to roam intellectually

  • Twice-exceptional students who need both challenge and understanding

A School Day That Works for Children and Families

We know your family’s schedule matters. Our New Rochelle campus offers:

  • Academic hours

  • 18 months–Kindergarten: 9:00 am–3:00 pm

  • Grades 1–8: 8:00 am–2:30 pm

  • Before- and after-school care from 7:30 am–6:00 pm

  • A calendar with three trimesters, vacation programs and an 8-week Summer Camp program

Rooted in the Westchester Community

Our New Rochelle School sits on several acres in a residential neighborhood and serves families from:

  • New Rochelle

  • Larchmont & Mamaroneck

  • Pelham & Eastchester

  • Scarsdale & Bronxville

  • And other nearby Westchester communities

Many families find that the short drive is worth it for a school where:

  • Their child is truly known by name

  • Staff and parents partner closely

  • Children are excited to come to school every day

The Cost of Staying with “Good Enough”

As a parent, you know your child is capable of so much. When a school isn’t the right fit, you may see:

  • A child who says they don’t like school

  • Anxiety or behavior changes around homework and tests

  • Boredom or lack of challenge

  • A sense that they’re going through the motions instead of thriving

You don’t have to settle for “good enough.” There is a better way.

The Future You Want for Your Child

Imagine your child:

  • Walking into school with confidence, excited about their day

  • Taking responsibility for their work and their choices

  • Being known and loved by teachers who truly understand them

  • Growing into a young person who is curious, kind, and capable

That’s the kind of future we work toward every day at Hudson Country Montessori – New Rochelle.
